Calgary finished its homestand with a 4-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday, yielding all four goals in the third period. Rookie Reto Berra gave up three of those on 23 shots faced total. Sean Monahan and Dennis Wideman had the goals for the Flames. "We gave them two goals out of three. After 40 minutes, I felt that we gave them nothing. We were playing our style. The first goal and third goal, there is only one word for those two goals -- awful," said Calgary head coach Bob Hartley. The rookie Monahan notched his eighth goal in the season and is looking to return to his early-season form. He notched six goals and 10 points in 12 games last month, but has just two goals and an assist in eight November contests. Dustin Byfuglien had tied the game with his fourth goal of the season just 54 seconds into the third frame. Ondrej Pavelec made 22 saves in defeat. "It was a really tough game to lose because I thought our guys were very engaged in the game and really wanted to have a good outcome," said Winnipeg coach Claude Noel, whose club was without defenseman Zach Bogosian due to a strained groin. The Jets will open a three-game homestand tonight and have won their past four as the host.
