Montreal, QC (SportsNetwork.com) - Jonathan Crompton threw for 155 yards and two touchdowns as the Montreal Alouettes ran away for a 50-17 victory over the British Columbia Lions in the Eastern Division semifinals at Percival Molson Stadium. Crompton completed 14-of-21 pass attempts and was guilty of an interception for Montreal (10-9), which will take on Hamilton in the division final next weekend. S.J. Green brought in seven passes for 95 yards and a touchdown and Brandon Rutley rushed for 98 yards and a score on 15 carries. Kevin Glenn finished with only 64 yards as well as two interceptions on 6- of-18 passing for British Columbia (9-10). Stefan Logan racked up 94 yards on 13 carries. A 56-yard single by Sean Whyte was the only score in the first quarter. Crompton hooked up with Green for a 10-yard touchdown pass with 5:40 left in the second period, which was answered with a 30-yard field goal from Paul McCallum. The Alouettes added to their lead before the break on a 16-yard touchdown pass from Crompton to Duron Carter. In the third quarter Montreal really pulled away. First, Tanner Marsh scored on a two-yard touchdown run, which was followed by a three-yard scoring run by Rutley. Marsh scored again, this time from a yard out, before the third quarter finished. Chris Rainey escaped for a 64-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter to push the Alouettes to a 43-3 advantage. Montreals defense got in on the scoring action as well, as Jerald Brown returned a fumble 103 yards for a touchdown.
