PARIS James Neal Youth Jersey , Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- World track and field governing body IAAF announced Tuesday that Qater capital Doha has been chosen as the host city for 2019 World Athletics Championship from three candidates.


The IAAF Council Tuesday held a meeting at the Fairmont Hotel in Monaco where Doha beat Spanish city Barcelona and Eugene, Oregon of the United States in a vote for the 17th edition of the grand event.


Doha, again popping up the candidacy after losing out to London three years ago, won by earning 15 votes against Eugene's 12 in the second round while Barcelona was eliminated in the first round with the least 6 votes against Doha's 12 and Eugene's 9.


The capital city of oil-rich Qatar will now stage the athletics worlds three years before the country is set to host the 2022 soccer World Cup.


"I' sure that in Doha we will have a wonderful edition of the World Championships Alex Tuch Womens Jersey ," commented IAAF President Lamine Diack.


He also offered his thanks to the defeated candidates: "There were the best presentations we have ever had."


Just five days ago, Qatar was cleared of their controversial winning bid for the 2022 World Cup, though voice of doubts is still around and Michael Garcia has been quite angry about how FIFA interpreted his review of the investigation.


"It's a privilege and honor to have the trust of the IAAF," said Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani Nate Schmidt Womens Jersey , the leader of the Doha bid, after being awarded the right to host the 2019 worlds.


"I am very delighted that these Championships are going to be for the first time in the region. I'm confident that with the support of the IAAF we will organise one of the best World Championships," he added.
