Trent Taylor listed as doubtful on 49ers final injury report Mitch Wishnowsky Jersey , Matt Breida is a game-time decision The San Francisco 49ers released their final injury report in anticipation to their Monday Night Football game against the Green Bay Packers and Dante Pettis isn’t the only wide receiver to miss the primetime matchup. Trent Taylor will also be out for the game. The beat writers have also reported that Taylor will be out. Richie James had a few looks in Week 5, but with Taylor now sidelined, he has an opportunity to show some things and develop a role with the team. Matt Breida (shoulder/ankle), who many thought would not make the trip to Green Bay was listed as questionable and remains a game-time decision according to Kyle Shanahan. If put in the game, I’d imagine Breida would get limited snaps while Alfred Morris would be playing a bit more just so the 49ers don’t aggravate anything. The 49ers do have until Monday afternoon to make a decision on the roster for Monday Night, that will give them some time to evaluate the injuries and make some decisions.Meanwhile with the Green Bay Packers, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was not listed on the practice report at all. Rodgers suffered a knee injury in Week 1 that has been lingering since. Wide receivers Randall Cobb (hamstring) and Geronimo Allison (hamstring) are both game-time decisions, so Rodgers has even less people to throw to. 49ers injury reportOut: WR Dante Pettis (knee), Doubtful: WR Trent Taylor (back)Questionable:RB Matt Breida (shoulder, ankle), WR Pierre Garcon (shoulder, knee), TE George Kittle (knee), G Mike Person (knee), C Weston Richburg (knee), T Joe Staley (knee), CB K’Waun Williams (illness)Packers injury reportQuestionable: CB Jaire Alexander (groin), WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring) Mitch Wishnowsky San Francisco 49ers Jersey , CB Bashaud Breeland (hamstring), T Bryan Bulaga (knee), WR Randall Cobb (hamstring), G Justin McCray (shoulder), T Jason Spriggs (ankle), S Jermaine Whitehead (back) Per Next Gen Stats, Ford did so last year the 2nd-most in a season since 2016"WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections 49ers Salary CapLevi’s Stadium Events49ers Transactions49ers Injury News49ers Press Conferences & Conference CallsNFL Free AgencyNFL Free Agency49ers free agency 201949ers Dee Ford pressured the QB in 2018 at an absurd rateNew,64commentsPer Next Gen Stats, Ford did so last year the 2nd-most in a season since 2016PDTShareTweetShareShare49ers Dee Ford pressured the QB in 2018 at an absurd rateDenny Medley-USA TODAY SportsThe more information that comes out about Dee Ford, the more I like him. I remember him being fast. I remember him having another gear. But looking at some of the numbers, and going back and watching him, man. He can play. The main pushback on the interwebs about Ford has been “he had one good season.” My response would be is you don’t luck into the season that Ford had. First of all, that’s wrong. In 2016 he got starter snaps at had 12 sacks and pressured the QB 42 times. That’s a very productive year. Ford again received starter snaps in 2018 and had a great season. According to Next Gen Stats, Ford pressured the QB on 69 dropbacks. That is the second most in a season since 2016.The love fo Ford didn’t stop there, either. Ford averaged 3.74 seconds to sack the QB. That was the 4th-fastest in the NFL. There’s a reason to be excited over Ford. His speed is something else:The 49ers were good at getting interior pressure. Deforest Buckner is unfair. Ford makes them better. This is the type of flexibility the team lacked last year. To have a player that can win inside and out. You’re doing Ford a disservice if the plan is just rush him from one spot all game. The 49ers would be wise to move the speedy pass rusher up and down the line of scrimmage. As you can see above, guards don’t have a chance with his athleticism. Add another pass rusher that can come off the edge at the second overall pick and things could get fun next year.
